What a fabulous day!

We had an awesome day! Ashley had a field trip to go on for school. It was a discovering math/science type field trip. Ashley said it was more like career day but she had fun. She had to be at her school at 6:30 so Aaron dropped her off. We got the babies all dressed up in their Easter outfits so that we could go see the Easter bunny. Around 10 we headed to the park for the children's Easter social. It was such a beautiful day I wanted to stay outside all day. The bunny came hopping down the bunny trail around 10:30. We stood in line and anxiously awaited our turn with the bunny. They did so well and they were so cute. The bunny's eyes are a bit scary looking but aside from that he is pretty cute.
After the bunny visit we headed to my sister's to help her paint. I love painting so of course I had fun. Aaron on the other hand had the job of painting doors. He milked that job for as long as he could.
We went and picked up Ash, headed home and cooked chili.

Small shoes to fill

I have lots of things that have been given to us by some generious people. I must say though that these have got to be the cutest. I love baby feet and even more when there are small shoes on them.

Whew what a day!

I took the babies for their 4 month check up today. They are so big!!!! But you already knew that. We will start with Lily- sweet little Lily. She weighs 11 lbs 3.5 oz, 23 inches tall. She is in the 10% for her height and weight but she is following her own curve so the Dr said she is doing well. I had to make an appointment to see the eye dr for her eye. It still has yellow goopy stuff and the 2 drops we have used are not helping. It just keeps coming back. We have an appt next week. Preston, Preston, Preston "big guy" 14 lbs 6 oz, 24 inches tall 50% for weight and 25% for height. He is a big healthy boy that's for sure. The doctor said it's ok to start them on solids. Good thing because I already did, about 3 weeks ago for Preston and 2 weeks ago for Lily. Preston is still just eating cereal and squash and Lily cereal and some squash. She doesn't care for it too much. She makes the funniest face. I feed them both cereal in the morning and then at night they get squash (Preston) and cereal (Lily)
Ashley went to the orthodontist today. We knew she needed braces but after talking to him we will probably wait and put them on in Canada. Since she will only get 3 months worth of treatment. There is a minimum due before you can transfer otherwise you still owe it. With only having 3 months we won't be even close to the minimum due. We have 100% dental through Aaron's work so we will get them there. I have already talked to an ortho there.
I have been able to get alot done for our big move. On Tuesday I was a cleaning machine. We had a listing agent come out to take a look at the house. It's not on the market. I have a few more realtors I want to talk to first. You don't want to go with the first one right? So far we have talked to insurance, realtors, car dealers and locals in St. John's. Here we have done the usual cleaning, getting passport, updating vehicle stuff. There is so much you put off and put off until finally you have to do it all at once. So for all you procrastinators out there get your stuff done because when you let it pile up the day will come when you HAVE to do it.

I forgot to mention

OMG I can't believe I forgot to mention we moved the babies into their own room. They were there last night for the first time and did very well. They went to bed at their regular time, 7pm. I let them lay on the floor in their room for a little bit before bed to get them used to the new surrounding. Preston moved around about 11:30 so I went in and put his binky in his mouth and he fell back asleep. About 2 they both woke up to eat. Then were up for good at 7 am.

Information

I forgot to ask if anyone has any information about St John's or knows an American that has made the move to Canada before please get in touch with me so I can pick your brain. I have done lots of research online and made a few phone calls but I could always more help.

Our big news

Our big news is that Aaron has been offered a position with his current employer in CANADA!!! We have decided to take this opportunity. It is a temporary position. We are very excited and can't wait to see what Canada has to offer. The area we will be in is St. John's Newfoundland. I am sure the weather will be the biggest adjustment but we will get used to it. Right now I am stressed trying to get information about the area, taxes, schools, dentists, cars, houses and everything that has to do with moving to another country.
Of course this means I am going to have to keep up with the blog daily now.

Both babies are on solid food. Preston started baby food (squash) 2 nights ago and Lily is on cereal. I will start her on baby food soon. I wanted to make sure she could handle the cereal first.

It's been forever

I know it's been a while. I have had a lot going on. The babies are doing so well. Gosh they are growing so fast. Preston is now on baby food. We started with squash and he loves it. Lily is on cereal and loves it. I am sure the pedi won't like that I just jumped right into solids without consulting him but oh well. They are doing really well with it. Every night between 5 and 5:30 we put them in their high chairs and strap on their bibs to feed them their food. They are so cute and open their mouths when the spoon gets close. I have pics but of course I will not post them now because it's late and I am tired. We are having the family over tomorrow to fill them in on our exciting news. Not everyone knows so if you do don't post about it. I will make a post about it once everyone knows. I need to tell the people at my old office they are going to freak........ NO I AM NOT PREGNANT!!!!

Here I am reading my Parents magazine when I noticed that I own 2 of the products on the recall list. I started thinking how in the heck am I supposed to know if an item has been recalled. Alas there is a website you can go to and sign up for recall notices based on child products, outdoors products, homes products etc. I thought it was a great idea. I called the phone #'s listed for the products I own that have been recalled and they are sending me new parts.

Lily has learned to LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!!

Do I dare say it....... or blog about it?

Last night the babies had another fantastic night. They took their last bottle at 6:30 pm were alseep by 7 pm and slept until 2 AM!!!!!! I had to go in once about 8 and pick Preston up and rock him back to sleep. I didn't have to feed him though. I only did the rocking to prevent waking Lily. It only took about 10 mins and he was out again. I fed them at 2 m was back in bed by 2:30 and slept until 7 am. Can it be that they are really getting the hang of this sleeping thing. I will see what tonight brings. Aunt Tasha is coming over to "watch" them after I put them to bed. Tonight I get to go to my moms of multiples meeting. I haven't been since I was pregnant. So I am very excited to get to go. Aaron has his first guitar lesson at the church.
Today I bought their Easter outfits. These will also be the outfits they will wear at their baby dedication. I think it will be at the end of March but that will be a later post. Their outfits are so cute. I tried Lily's on and started crying. She looks like a little doll. Preston is sleeping so I can't try his on. I can't wait until you can see them.

Our fabulous weekend

We had such a fabulous weekend in Louisiana. I love going to visit Aaron's family. We got to LA about 7 Friday night. The babies were very tired and it took a little while to get them to bed. They did ok the first night though. It's to be expected being in a different place and being past bedtime. Saturday we woke up and got ready for Presley's birthday party. I can't believe she is already 1. Time flies by so fat. We had a great time she is so freakin cute. Presley got alot of nice things including a power wheels 4 wheeler. She was a little nervous to get on it at first but now I think she likes it. Saturday night Aaron and I got to go all by ourselves to eat boiled crawfish. It was very yummy!!! We couldn't have asked for better weather this weekend. The whole weekend was blue skies and not cold at all. Saturday night it stormed but quickly cleared up in time for us to wake up to a beautiful Sunday. We stayed outside and bbqed all day. Even the babies got to come outside to join the fun! We came home today and made it in record time 3 and half hours. Oh I forgot to mention last night we gave the babies their regular bottle at 6:30 pm and they went to sleep at 7 and didn't wake up until 1 AM!!!! 6 hours yup that's right!!! Then they woke up at their regular time at 7 am. I could get used to this but I won't. I know it was a rare thing because they were so tired from the weekend. I enjoyed my sleep though.

Lily's doctor appt

Lily's doctor appt went well. He gave me another kind of eye drops to use. He said to give it a week and if it is not better to call him. He said he is not concerend with her weight. She is gaining and eating fine. If he isn't worried then I won't be. She doesn't throw up anymore. She just spits up after each feeding. I have been successful at increasing her intake over the past day though. Now she is able to take at least 5 oz at every feeding. Preston is up to 6 sometimes 7 oz. I made a cake today for Valentine's day. Martha Stewart I am not but at least it's edible.

Hi all

We had a quiet weekend. Daddy got home safe and sound on Friday. He was a bit jet lagged so we didn't do much. We went out to Del Pueblo, our favorite mexican restaurant. They have the best margaritas, don't they nana! hehe. Saturday Michelle and Chris stopped by to show us their new Enclave, that thing is niiiice!! It is so classy looking. Ashley went home with them to spend the night. Me, Aaron and the babies went to Dustin and Tasha's to help them move some furniture. They got a new couch that is also very nice. Sunday was church. After we got home I went and picked up Ashley. The weather has been so nice here so we worked in the yard and Aaron washed the car. The babies even came outside and played in the pack n play.
I weighed the babies this morning Preston weighs 13 lbs 4 oz and Lily weighs 10 lbs 7 oz. Lily has a dr appt tomorrow for her eye. She has yellow stuff coming out of it again and the drops aren't helping. I am going to ask him about her weight too and see if there is something we can do to put a little meat on her bones. She eats the same time as Preston but he eats 6 to 7 oz and she eats 4 to 5 oz then spits up alot of it. We started Preston on cereal. Not too get him to sleep longer but to make him fuller. We gave him a little last night and he loved it. he kept opening his mouth real big when Aaron would get the spoon close to his mouth. Lily isn't ready for cereal yet , she can barely handle formula. The funny thing about cereal is that people think it's like a magic potion to get your babies to sleep longer. It doesn't! At least not mine. Preston still woke up at his regular time, midnight, and ate his regular amount. I had to wake Lily up to feed her. So they ate at 7, midnight, 4 am and 8 am. Not bad.
Aaron is feeling a bit under the weather so he is working from home today. Me and the babies went to Jazzercise and brought daddy some lunch home.
